Dr. Aliaksei Kichuk is a qualified and passionate researcher and lecturer with several years of teaching experience behind him. He has 17 years of hospitality experience, which highly benefits his lecturer career. He has successfully completed his PhD in talent management and career development in the hotel sector. His research provides a unique insight into the experiences of employees in the hotel sector, with reference to personal career development, which, to date, has had limited consideration within the talent management and career literature. He is an academic lead for professional placement for BDTE.

He possesses a reputation for effective team management, strong organisation techniques, excellent administrative, verbal communication, and written skills along with effective teaching methods that promote a stimulating learning environment. He can work in a managerial role or as part of a team and have the proven ability to successfully work to tight schedules and deadlines.

He is developing, managing and monitoring undergraduate modules such as Professional placement (undergraduate yearlong placement), Introduction to Hotel Operations and Room Division, International Multi-Unit Hospitality Leadership. Moreover, he provides leadership for colleagues and advisory skills through coaching and mentorship of new departmental staff and peer discussions around APA and PGCert courses.

He has a proven track record in publications, book chapters and attendance of international conferences and involvement at local and national level in initiatives surrounding talent management and career development in hotels.
