Dr Dianna Nderitu
Dianna is Lecturer in Marketing and the Course Leader for the Marketing course and pathways. Dianna gained a PhD from Coventry University in the areas of Relationship Marketing and Service Marketing.
Before joining BCU, Dianna taught at Coventry University Group within the Marketing department. Her current areas of research are in the areas of Marketing Communications, with a focus on Advertising and the use of digital technology, as well as Entrepreneurial Education, with a focus on Social Media Marketing.
Dianna is currently acting as a Project Supervisor on a Marketing and New Product Development Knowledge Transfer Project with H.T. Brigham. The project is funded by Innovate UK, where Dianna and her colleague were able to successfully secure BCU £187,713 to run the project for 24 months.
In her time as course leader, Dianna has been able to secure two Small Business Development grants that has provided the course the opportunity to develop a Social Media Innovative Learning Entrepreneurial Project (SMILEE Project). In her role as the project lead, Dianna has been able to hire students on to the project and their role is that of a Social Media Executive where they run the course social media pages. Through this project she has been able to mentor the students and guide them as they develop transferable skills that will be beneficial in employability. The project has seen great success, with one of the students on the pilot project securing a placement at Hoodrich through the Social Media Content that was produced on the project.
