Steven Wadley
Steve spent 8 years as an Authorised Firearms Officer with the Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) before making the transition to a lecturer within the FE/HE sector.
Since leaving the police, Steve has worked at a number of FE Colleges, primarily as a Public Services lecturer on the Level 2 and Level 3 courses as well as the Higher National Diploma (HND) provision at Levels 4 and 5.
Steve has also worked as a Divisional Personal Safety Trainer with the MDP and as an Officer Safety Trainer for Warwickshire and West Mercia Police.
Steve joined BCU as a Teaching Fellow in Policing in April 2019 teaching on both the Policing and Criminology programmes. In May 2020 he was promoted to Deputy Course Leader for the BSc in Professional Policing, taking up the role as Course Leader in August 2021. He was made a Senior Lecturer in Policing in September 2023
