Alastair Jamieson
Alastair Jamieson is the course leader for the BSc (Hons) Music Technology. With over 20 years of experience in live sound and studio production, he brings extensive expertise from both professional and academic spheres.
He has worked with artists including Adele, UB40, Duran Duran, Steel Pulse, and Music for Youth. Alastair designed, built, and managed a multi-room studio complex in Birmingham that he ran for over a decade.
He began his involvement with the sound course at BCU during this time, contributing his industry knowledge to modules such as Broadcast, Sound Recording, Acoustics, and Recording Production & Delivery. His research focuses on automatic mixing for multi-channel drums.
