Phillip is a lead lecturer, delivering the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) curriculum, which provide career oriented coverage of introductory and advanced networking skills, including routing, switching and troubleshooting, whilst also providing opportunities for hands-on practical experience and soft-skills development.
The aim of both courses is to prepare both students and instructor candidates for the globally recognised CCNA and CCNP certification exams, which are often prerequisites for employment in networking roles. Philip also has a management role within the Cisco Academy Support Centre (ASC) and Instructor Training Centre (ITC) at Birmingham City University, providing technical support for a large number of dependent Cisco Academies (CA) throughout the UK.
