Ishver Patel is a Senior Technician in Engineering.
Ishver is currently working as Senior Technician in CEBE department and has a wide range of experience in Engineering background. His responsibilities include operating Mechanical, Automotive, Materials, Environmental, Civil Engineering laboratories and the Workshop to provide all the facilities to staff and students. He supervises students and support them with the practical work to have a better understanding of theory and relating them to improve their learning experiences to develop their skills further.
He is involved in teaching and delivering engineering modules practical activities as well as supporting PhD students with their research projects.
Previously, Ishver has completed 3 years apprenticeship as laboratory technician at Aston University and then he continued to work in the pharmaceutical department for 2 years (1979-84).
Ishver has also gained some industrial experience as a quality control technician at B. Mason Sons Ltd (non- ferrous manufacturers) working for 7 years (1983-1990). Then he became a Laboratory Technician with Birmingham Polytechnic, formally University Central England (UCE) and now Birmingham City University for the past 34 years.
