Three concertos for three different instruments feature in the RBC Final Projects Orchestra’s concert. Musical adventurer and film score composer, Richard Harvey’s Concerto Incantato for recorder enchants with its melodic and energetic qualities, while the Horn Concerto of Franz Strauss (father of Richard) dazzles with bold, lyrical brilliance. Completing the evening is an all-time favourite – Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No 2 captivates with its emotional depth and sweeping romantic grandeur.
