Birmingham City University’s ISAK Level 1 Course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to assess and analyse human physique with precision and accuracy.
ISAK Level 1 is an internationally-recognised certification with which to advance your career in sports, fitness, and health sciences.
Learning outcomes
Expert-Led Training: Your course leader Jennie Carter is a widely experienced ISAK-accredited Level 3 Instructor, and Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Birmingham City University.
Practical Experience: You will receive hands-on example-led training in anthropometric techniques, including skinfold measurements, breadths and girths.

Course in depth
This is a three-day in-person group training course carried out at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. There is also some mandatory pre-course e-learning to undertake in preparation.
Upon successfully completing the course, you will be certificated to ISAK Level 1 (officially accredited by the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry).
