Youth Work and Communities
If you’re interested in a career in developing youth and working in the community, our Youth and Communities degree is the perfect steppingstone. This course has accreditation from the Joint Negotiating Committee, the professional body that accredits Youth Workers.
Working with Children, Young People and Families
This course has at its heart a strong commitment to social justice and equality. Successful completion opens the doors to a wide variety of careers linked to vulnerable children and young people.
Early Childhood Studies
Our BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies course seamlessly combines theory with practical experience, so that you can achieve your career goals and make a positive impact on young children’s lives.
Education Studies
Our BA (Hons) in Education Studies will allow you to explore all aspects of education, focusing on subject areas of most interest to you. You’ll graduate with a range of education sector career paths open to you.
Social Work
Our specially-designed degree will give you the skills and knowledge needed to make a difference to people's lives as a professional and registered social worker.
Biomedical Sciences
Our practice-led degree offers a unique insight into human life processes, as well as disease and health within the population. You’ll develop a range of practical and analytical skills, with the opportunity to put them into practice during an optional sandwich year work placement.
Successful completion of this course can allow you to work as a Biomedical Scientist, Toxicologist, Microbiologist or science writer to name a few.
Paramedic Science
The BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science degree will develop your theoretical knowledge and practical skills within both the university and clinical practice environment.
You will also benefit from cutting-edge facilities and equipment that will enhance your skills. You’ll also get the opportunity to undertake clinical placements as part of the course, Giving you the tools and confidence to succeed as a Paramedic when you graduate.
Diagnostic Radiography
Do you want a career in diagnostic radiography? We are the largest training providers in the Midlands for Radiographers, our degree is also approved by The College of Radiographers.
At least 50 per cent of your time will be spent in clinical placement so that you can develop the practice skills necessary for employment as a Radiographer.

Jess had never really thought about joining BCU until, on a whim, she visited an Open Day with a friend. Having spoken to the course leader of the Education Studies course, BCU instantly became her first choice university. Since joining, she’s taken on every opportunity to broaden her horizons such as attending a placement in Peru, becoming a student ambassador and taking on student placements at Lincoln Castle.
