The Future of Women in Engineering

Join three former WISE bursary winners and Associate Professor of Engineering, Laura Leyland, as they discuss the importance of getting women into engineering, how employers are improving the balance and challenges they have had to overcome. Did you know that only 12.37% of engineers are women in the UK? That’s the lowest percentage of female engineering professionals in Europe (Engineering UK 2018 report by WES).

As members of Women into Science and Engineering (WISE), we are passionate about encouraging more women to join the exciting profession of engineering. We work together with WISE to offer our female engineering students the chance to receive a £1k bursary.

In this webinar, we will hear from three previous WISE bursary winners (Gabriella, Molly and Ria) and Associate Professor, Laura Leyland. They will discuss the importance of getting women into engineering, how employers are improving the balance and challenges they have had to overcome.
