Don Newton

Having graduated from Reading University I took up my first teaching post at an innovative community school in Telford, Madeley Court, where I worked as head of department.

From there as a deputy headteacher at another community school in Nottingham, eventually taking up a headteacher post at a large secondary school near Birmingham.

After 10 years as a headteacher I took up my post at Birmingham City University as Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Education.
