Eleanor joined BCU in September 2024 as a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education. She teaches on both the BA (QTS) and PGCE courses. She is also a personal development tutor and university-based tutor for Associate Teachers on their school-based placements.

Eleanor graduated from Newman University with a BA (Hons) degree and Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies.

Eleanor has worked in several Birmingham primary schools, taking on roles which included Mathematics Lead and Religious Education Lead. Alongside her role as classroom teacher, Eleanor visited schools across Birmingham in her work as a Primary Mastery Specialist for the Central Maths Hub, training and supporting the schools’ Mathematics Leads and management teams.

Eleanor holds Professional Development Leadership Accreditation through the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) and is a member of the NCETM working partnership for ITT providers. She is especially determined to equip teachers so that every child in their classroom can successfully access the Primary Maths curriculum.
