Suzanne Swan

Suzanne is a Senior Lecturer in Primary and Early Years Education. She is a passionate teacher and early career researcher. At BCU she teaches both the PGCE Primary & Early Years and BA (QTS) courses. She is also a Personal Development Tutor supporting students in university and on placement.

Suzanne was a primary school teacher in the Midlands for 20 years and has been an Assistant headteacher and Local Authority Moderator for Warwickshire County Council. During her time in school, she led Drama, Science, Early Years, Outdoor learning, Early reading, and Computing.

Away from BCU, Suzanne is a school governor at Ashlawn Secondary School in Rugby, Warwickshire, and the safeguarding lead at Rugby Theatre.
