Susan Cadby

Susan is a qualified Rehabilitation Worker. Studying rehabilitation work was a natural progression from her studies in deaf studies and linguistics.

Since qualifying Susan has worked in both local authority and charity settings. The role included providing specialist assessments for people with sight loss, hearing loss and dual sensory loss. This incorporated designing and delivering comprehensive rehabilitation programmes designed to meet the individual’s needs.

In addition Susan has also been a regular visiting lecturer on the Rehabilitation course at Birmingham City University since 2010. She has also delivered sight loss training for a national charity organisation on an accredited sight loss course. Susan joined BCU as a senior lecturer full time member of staff in 2019.
