Aleksandra Naglowska
Senior Lecturer
Aleksandra Naglowska is a Polish national who relocated to the United Kingdom almost two decades ago. Upon arriving in the UK she completed the Graduate Diploma in Nursing with distinction at Birmingham City University and received the BCU Student of Excellence Award.
Aleksandra then began working in primary care as a Practice Nurse and shortly afterwards completed specialised training in diabetes care, which has always been her area of interest.
After becoming the diabetic lead in the GP surgery, Aleksandra continued her professional development and completed non-medical prescribing training followed by earning the Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice.
Aleksandra worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and began to engage in teaching primary care nurses as a visiting lecturer at BCU.
Enjoying this experience led her to seize the opportunity to become a full-time senior lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice at BCU and she also continues to teach primary care nurses on the General Practice Nurse foundation programme.
