Nursing Associate Role Pilot (Health Education England) led on 2 pilots for the development implementation of the Nursing Associate Curriculum and Programme in collaboration with the local National Health Service and Private Organisations. (approx. £400,000).
Scoping and defining the use of clinical skills and simulation and their role in delivering the future workforce in the NHS Wes Midlands. Funded by SHA West Midlands £171,000.
NHS West Midlands Centre for Innovation and Training in Elective Care (CITEC) project.
This project aims to develop, pilot and evaluate models of inter-professional clinical skills simulation training for pre-registration/pre-qualification students. Collaboration with the University of Warwick Medical School, University of Birmingham Medical School, and University of Worcester.
Awards
Higher Education Academy (Health Sciences and Practice) 2011 “Leaning and Teaching Team” award. This is a national award for teaching and learning. The Skills and Simulation team were nominated by colleagues and students.
