Maggie works clinically within a local trust and has set up, with a colleague an Aquanatal and parent education programme for an area which has high perinatal morbidity since 2007. They have also developed an educational programme for Midwives wishing to develop and facilitate Aquanatal.
Jointly nominated with N Carr for RCM Award 2012 for Excellence in Initiatives in Improving Public Health and Reducing Inequalities: for Aquanatal and Parent Education provision.
Maggie has a keen interest in medicines management, complementary therapies, breast feeding, normal midwifery, and evidence based practice. She has been helping in developing the Baby Friendly Standards within the Midwifery Programmes.
