Alexander Stadium

A stunning new home for our Sport and Exercise courses, in a world-class elite venue

The Commonwealth Games lit up Birmingham in the summer of 2022, with the eyes of the world on the West Midlands during a spectacular festival of sport and culture. And now, one of the most iconic venues from the Games will become our latest specialist space - as our Sports and Exercise Sciences courses move into the world-class Alexander Stadium.

Speaker 1: Well, here we are, guys. Our first reaction of the Alexander Stadium. I mean, it's quite big, isn't it? Very. It's quite big. I mean, like I you see on TV and you think it's it's a fairly decent sized stadium. And then while you actually step into and feel the size of it, I mean, it is huge.

Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very impressive. It's very exciting. Get into practical work into an environment like this. I think it's going to be an experience.

Speaker 3: For us and actually because it's got loads of practical elements to it, being able to apply that unlike an actual track, is going to be really beneficial to Colin.

Speaker 4: And it's really cool to be a part of because you see this track is all the international athletes getting to use it and to be able to use it is just quite incredible really.

Speaker 1: I think, first of all, students are always looking to get inspired by being in a space like this. It's so easy to feel inspired being in such a professional setting and the students working here. It's going to be absolutely amazing.
