Indian partnership launches new postgraduate course for Indian students

BCU has teamed up with Indian institutions in Raipur and Mumbai to prepare work-ready Executive MBA graduates nurtured within an creative and innovative environment.

BCU, The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) and industry partner Ronkel Media Education and Research Institute in Mumbai have joined forces to launch a new postgraduate module for Executive MBA students titled: Bridging Humanities and Innovation Management and Creative Entrepreneurial Leadership.

The postgraduate module, which is backed by a British Council research grant, was secured by BCU’s Associate Professor in Digital Transformation and Operations Management Shishank Shishank, Associate Professor Mrunal Chavda (IIM Raipur) and Academic Director Swadhin Padhy (Ronkel).

The course has been designed to prepare students in India for the global jobs market, by equipping them with the key skills to navigate the complexities of international industry management while fostering an environment that is conducive to creativity and innovation.

The course is the first of its kind in India and the collaboration will strengthen the partnership between the three institutions, which are already focused on creating a work-ready workforce and quality research outputs for the benefit of industry and academia. 

In a recent trip to Raipur, Dr Shishank and Deputy Head of College at the Graduate School of Management Professor Navjot Sandhu along with Senior Lecturer in Management Dr Sara Gracey gathered with partners to meet with Professor Ram Kumar Kakani (Director, IIM Raipur) to strengthen ties and share a holistic and integrated approach to education.

Associate Professor Shishank Shishank said: “The partnership will aim to catalyse industry-academia partnerships that will allow academia and industry to work in sync, prepare a work-ready workforce, reduce on-the-job training costs, and make learners more employable. The module aims to build stronger, more inclusive, industry-connected Higher Education systems that support global development impacts.”
