Birmingham City University is one of the UK's most dynamic places to study. We are a vibrant, multicultural university with over 30,000 students from around 100 countries and offer an innovative and practical approach to teaching and learning.

Our portfolio of excellent courses, investment in state-of-the-art facilities, first-rate staff, and focus on practical skills and professional relevance are making us a first choice for students. Our courses are highly practical and career-focused, and many are accredited by professional bodies. This means that you'll gain qualifications with us that are prized by employers, giving you an important advantage in the job market.

We've invested heavily in innovative technology to give our students the best possible preparation for their chosen careers. Facilities include a mock law court, a virtual radiography suite, broadcast studios, fashion workshops, and a mock operating theatre.

Our research work continues to attract international attention, with research across multiple subject areas being classed as 'world-leading', 'internationally excellent', or 'recognised internationally' in the prestigious Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014.

It's a particularly exciting time to become a student at Birmingham City University. We've invested over £400 million in our estate, including a major expansion of our City Centre Campus at Eastside, providing students with an enviable range of facilities
