Students' Union

Birmingham City University Students’ Union (BCUSU) is separate from the University and is run by students, for students. As a BCU student you will automatically be enrolled into BCUSU, and from day one, will have access to all the facilities and services that the Students’ Union has to offer.

BCUSU have a dedicated advice centre that can support and advise you with basic immigration queries, accommodation, working in the UK, fees and funding and much more. The Advice Centre is a professional, impartial, confidential and non-judgemental service, providing advice, support and representation to help you resolve your problems.

The Students’ Union is also the home to many international student-led societies, you’ll be able to meet like-minded students and take part in trips, cultural activities, events and festivals throughout the year.

Be represented

BCUSU have their own student body representation network, consisting of five sabbatical officers who are elected each year by students. The elected students form BCUSU’s Executive Officer team, who represent all students and make decisions on your behalf, both within your Students’ Union and also with the University. The Students’ Union also manage and operate School Representatives and Student Academic Leaders who are there to make sure that students are able to have their voices heard at all levels of the University.

The Eagle and Ball

The Eagle and Ball is the perfect, affordable hangout for students, it holds exciting events such as live music, quizzes, karaoke and much more. Let’s not forget the large selection of delicious, freshly, homemade pizzas on offer, there are vegetarian, vegan and halal options available, so there really is a pizza for everyone, will you be willing to share a slice?
