For in-depth knowledge of the industry, there is no better place to study.

Courses cover all aspects of jewellery from the conceptual fine art based approach through to industry-focused, technology driven courses. There is a blend of the fundamental skills and traditional methods of making jewellery with experience and exploration of the latest manufacturing technology. We constantly keep up to date with changing trends and techniques.

Core areas of expertise within the School of Jewellery include:

  • Digital. We have strong insight into digital technologies and their application within the industry.
  • Craftsmanship. ‘Lost’ techniques and craft skills are used within the School and applied by our students.
  • Materials. Understanding of and access to materials and industry relevant proficiency in their use.

Students have the unique opportunity to explore and benefit from the niche subjects of Gemmology and Horology within the School. This can provide diverse potential for idea generation and product development.

All of our subject areas collaborate with business and industry partners through live competitions or work experience. With experience, specialist staff and visiting tutors who are practitioners and experts in their field, you’ll be taught by the very best in the business.
