Join us at a special event, ‘Celebrating ODP: Past, Present and Future’, from 2.30pm-5pm on Thursday 26 June.
This year marks 80 years of the Operating Department Practitioner profession, and the final year of the Diploma in Higher Education here at BCU.
To mark the milestone, we will be bringing together staff, students and alumni, shining a light on the incredible careers that can be built within the profession, and celebrating the lives that have been changed through ODP.
The event will include inspiring speeches from industry experts and graduates, as well as an awards ceremony celebrating current students, staff, and our amazing clinical partners. There will be networking and photo opportunities, food and drink and much more.
To celebrate 80 years of the profession, termed as the ‘Oak Anniversary’ which signifies strength and commitment, we will also be planting an oak tree in the grounds of our City South campus to mark the milestone with attendees.
