Leading figures from British media and culture including the actor Paterson Joseph are among contributors featured in the latest edition of a dedicated journal championing media diversity.
Joseph joins academics for the fifth edition of ‘Representology – The Journal of Media and Diversity’ which examines representation in the UK media and wider culture.
The journal, supported by Cardiff University and Birmingham City University’s (BCU) Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity, features a line-up of articles from famous faces and in-depth academic research shining a light on the media industry.
Notable articles in the latest edition of the journal include:

Representology is a collaboration between Birmingham City University’s Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity and Cardiff University. It tackles subjects spanning all protected characteristics including race, gender, sexuality, class and disability, as well as the intersections between them.
The first four issues featured contributions from leading figures in British media and culture David Olusoga, Afua Hirsch, Gary Younge, Kit de Waal, Adrian Lester, Amma Asante and Kwame Kwei-Armah, alongside younger writers like Nadine White, Kimberley McIntosh, and Leah Cowan, voices from the academy and beyond.
