Graduates are being offered a springboard to a new career in Psychology with the launch of a new conversion course at Birmingham City University.

The GradDip Psychology, starting this September, offers the exciting opportunity for graduates to convert their degree to Psychology and provides students with the potential to be awarded Graduate Basis of Chartered Membership (GBC), the first step in becoming a Charted Psychologist. Those who do not hold the required credits in Psychology can take the pre-entry GradCert Psychology course which is also launching in September.

The course is offered on both a part-time and full-time basis and is taught by a team highly experienced in such areas as health, occupational, forensic, counselling and psychotherapy.

Devinder Rana, Programme Developer at the Division of Psychology, said: “Are you graduating soon? Are you interested in working as a chartered psychologist in the clinical, health, occupational, educational or forensic setting? If so it is not too late. You can convert your existing qualification with the new graduate diploma psychology course.

“We are delighted to be offering this new course which will give graduates the chance to qualify in such an in-demand subject.”

The course is in the process of applying for accreditation to the British Psychological Society. Excellent facilities include four laboratories, counselling rooms, an observation room and video recording/editing suite, as well as access to the latest software, such as E-Prime, SPSS, Pinnacle Studio and NVIVO.

Birmingham City University is running a major awareness campaign in the Midlands to demonstrate how it is upgrading the future of individuals and companies. Find out more at www.bcu.ac.uk
