Jagdev is an experienced lecturer whose main teaching area is Database Systems. Jagdev has published conference and journal papers on relational/object/nosql database systems, ontologies, text mining and cloud computing.
Current Activity
Jagdev joined the University in 1989 and has taught modules ranging from systems analysis and design; database design and implementation; and database administration.
Jagdev is currently teaching database modules on the following courses:
- BSc (Hons) Business Information Technology
- BSc (Hons) ICT
- BSc (Hons) Computer Science
- MSc Computing
- MSc Business Computing
Jagdev teaches database theory and practice. She also teaches Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Mining and Big Data on the MSc Business Intelligence course.
Jagdev is the subject Lead for the Big Data Analytics in the Centre for Enterprise Systems.
Jagdev has been a Member of Appointments Group at UK Oracle User Group from April 2014- 2017.

Research
Her current research is looking at the use of data analytics in education and also the use of ontologies (and other semantic web technologies) in the use of intelligent media advertising.
