The Personalised Care Centre is committed to fostering the exchange of knowledge, as well as advancing research, training, and consultancy within the care sector.
In response to the evolving nature of personalised care, our objective is to enhance and build on the significant progress already made. We are committed to shaping a workforce that possesses the essential skills and values to improve the standard of patient care.
The Centre is committed to reinforcing and expanding upon current initiatives in health and social care, while also pursuing new opportunities for joint ventures. As part of Birmingham City University, we are at the vanguard of educational and practical innovation, consistently focused on the improvement of patient outcomes.
Our key activities are: promoting and sharing knowledge; supporting the implementation of integrated care in policy and practice; training and research.
Our aims
- To be a leading advocate for change in personalised care.
- To foster the development and exchange of ideas and knowledge about personalised care among academics, researchers, managers, health and care professionals, service users and carers, as well as policy and decision-makers.
- To actively engage in, influence, and transform health and social care systems, placing personalised care at the forefront.
- To disseminate research and case studies related to personalised care.
- To conduct primary research and offer support for research and evaluation for personalised care initiatives.
- To assist policy and decision-makers, bridging the gap between science and the implementation of personalised care, thereby facilitating the most effective and sustainable health and care systems from the viewpoint of individuals and populations.
