Dr Anne Richardson Oakes is an Associate Professor of American Legal Studies at Birmingham City University. She is Director of the Centre for American Legal Studies and currently teaches US Constitutional Law and Research Methods. She is also a member of the Society of Legal Scholars.

- Human Rights and Property (special interest: the resonances between ECHR property jurisprudence and the Takings Clause jurisprudence of the U.S. Supreme Court).
