School of Law - Research - Research Projects - Faculty Research Collaborations Image 300x250 - People sat around a laptop The School of Law supports a number of voluntary and paid schemes in the Faculty for Business, Law, and Social Sciences that provide students (at all levels) the opportunity to gain ‘hands-on’ research experience, and to collaborate with academics and their peers.

Many of our projects involve cross-disciplinary partnerships. Below, you'll find details on all of our projects across the Business, Law and Social Sciences (BLSS) faculty, past and present.

BLSS Small Development Grants

Small Development Grants fund academics to undertake pilot studies with a view to using the results of those studies as platform for larger research projects. Academics often use the funds to employ students as research assistants.

BLSS Scholar Scheme

The School of Law supports the BLSS Scholar Scheme, which provides a paid research experience for one student scholar in each school of the faculty. Students are selected based on merit.

BLSS Voluntary Research Assistantship Scheme (VRAS)

The VRAS is organised to help students gain research-based experience and knowledge at Levels 4 and 5. Students are selected based on their performance in their degree assessments.

BLSS Student Researcher Scheme (SRS)

The School of Law supports this faculty-wide scheme that provides paid research experiences for numerous students in each school, who are selected after a competitive application and interview process.
