Dr Will McKeown
Dr Will McKeown holds a PhD in Film and Creative Writing and is a lecturer in Media and Communication. His research examines the intersections between media and how depictions of selfhood and subjectivity can be understood culturally. He has published on the resonance of self-sacrifice in film as well as the complex multiplicity of selfhood characterized in the Netflix series Sense8. Will is teaching on several modules on the Media and Communication Course and his research interests are interactions between media, selfhood and subjectivity, psychoanalysis, film criticism and sustainability in game studies.
