Faye is currently undertaking research into representation of sexuality in American TV programmes and exploring how commercial imperatives and contexts have impacted on the production and meaning of representations.
Her work, 'Paradigmatically Oppositional Representations: Gender and Sexual Identity in The L Word' has been published in Rebecca Beirne's (2008) 'Televising Queer Women'. She has also been a regular contributor to the online journal Flow TV.
She also has a forthcoming chapter, 'The End of the L Word: Fan Pleasure and Fan Pain?' in Dana Heller's 'Loving The L Word' from IB Tauris.
