Exploring how mindfulness, mindful eating, and self-compassion influence Orthorexia Nervosa
The aim of the PhD project is to develop an intervention to support individuals who suffer from Othorexia Nervosa. There are no interventions for individuals who display high orthorexic tendencies therefore, this research will aim to provide support to those individuals.
This will be achieved through the exploring the relationships between mindfulness, mindful eating, self-compassion and Orthorexia Nervosa.
The present research will utilize self-report methods, interviews and randomized control trials (RCT) in order to gain a fuller understanding of Orthorexia Nervosa resulting in the development of a successful intervention.
