Gaopeng Zhang
Gaopeng is an Associate Professor and the Vice Dean of the Department of Textile and Clothing Engineering and the Head of the Teaching and Research Section of Clothing and Apparel Design at Sichuan University. He lectures regularly on Apparel CAD, Design Management and Chinese Ethnic Costume at Sichuan University. Besides the teaching, his research interests range from apparel CAD, design management to Chinese ethnic groups’ costume.
His representative research projects finished consist of the Comprehensive Study of the Tibetan, Yi and Qiang Ethnic Minority Costumes in Sichuan Province funded by the Fundamental Research Funds for Central Universities of China, the Digital Rescue and Protection for Qiang Ethnic Minority Costumes funded by the Humanity & Social Science Research Fund of the Ministry of Education of China and the Development and Application of Digital Database for Fashion Design funded by the Sichuan Province Science and Technology Research Fund.
His recent published works include the books of Digital Rescue and Protection for Minorities Costumes in the Western of Sichuan (Donghua University Press, 2013) and Fashion Illustration Based on Adobe Illustrator CS4 (Tsinghua University Press, 2010), as well as the scholarly articles of Exploration of intelligent Garment Pattern Drawing Method Based on AutoCAD (Journal of Textile Research, 2013(11)) and Clothing Structural Design with Diversified Wearing Styles (Journal of Textile Research, 2011(6)).
