Seán Elder Wilson

"I am a curator, researcher and writer based in Birmingham. I have previously worked with artists to develop events, exhibitions and writing for organisations including Jerwood Arts (London); BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art (Gateshead); Grand Union (Birmingham); LUX Scotland (Glasgow); The Worm (Aberdeen).

"As Associate Curator at Grand Union I curated Inherited Premises, a two person show by Rami George and Tako Taal, and co-curated with Kim McAleese and Lucy Lopez, Ways of Learning, as well as co-producing the Curatorial Curriculum, an alternative learning programme for emerging curators.

"I was also previously Writer-in-Residence at Cooper Gallery, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, and a Committee Member of the Telfer Gallery. In 2020 I was awarded the inaugural Stuart Croft Foundation Curatorial Award for an upcoming project, the Birmingham Critical Film Forum."
