Simon Crisp
Simon is a former journalist and news photographer who returned to education (and cultural studies) in 2017 after 15 years working for nation UK newspapers when he was awarded a MA studentship at Birmingham City University as part of the Midlands3Cities Doctoral Training Partnership Routes In To PhD study initiative. He is interested in mainstream mediations and the development of cultural practices, and is currently researching the cultural processes at play during yoga’s popularisation in Britain (1958-1975).
