Dr. Angel Tan is a Lecturer in Psychology, specialising in educational psychology and pioneering online pedagogical advancements. Her research explores the intersection between technology and behavioural theories in improving knowledge exchange and application. Her doctoral thesis investigated the effectiveness of technology-enhanced learning interventions to improve university students’ learning experience of statistics and critical thinking. She is committed to using her skills and experience to foster key graduate competencies in education and career readiness.

Dr Tan is currently leading an interdisciplinary research project to incorporate a personalised statistics learning platform called StatsBoost into Psychology courses. She has co-authored various academic publications on topics such as student identity, peer coaching, video-based learning, critical thinking, and online education.

In addition to teaching and researching, she is also a certified behaviour analyst with experience providing behaviour therapy services to children with autism.
