Step 1: find your course

We offer over 120 postgraduate and professional development courses

Step 2: attend an Open Day

We host a number of on-campus and virtual Open Days throughout the year.

Step 3: apply

For most courses, you can apply direct to the university, always check the course pages as deadlines will differ from course to course.

Whatever course you’re applying for, don’t leave it until the last minute, as many popular courses will fill up ahead of time.

If you're applying for a September start...

We recommend you apply by 17 July if you're an international student or 31 July if you're a UK student.

If you're applying for a January start...

We recommend you apply by 4 December if you're an international student or 18 December if you're a UK student.

If you're a current BCU undergraduate student...

You can apply via our fast track application in a few simple steps.

Step 4: Receive a decision

Your application will be considered, and you may be invited to interview before your application is accepted or rejected.

Step 5: apply for your VISA

If you’re an international student, now is the time to apply for your Student VISA.

Step 6: apply for funding

There are multiple ways to fund a postgraduate degree, including government loans, scholarships and external funding.

If you're a current BCU undergraduate student...

You may be eligible for our Graduate Scholarship, a 20% fee discount for BCU graduates undertaking Master’s or PhD study in 2024/25.
