education and teacher training placements

As a student on one of our education or teacher training courses, placements are an important and compulsory part of your university experience. Placement opportunities will be embedded throughout your course. You will complete placements in a variety of school and education settings to develop your skills and experience and prepare you for your chosen profession.

Education and Communities

We posed some probing questions to students from Public Health and Childhood, Youth and Community to find out about their experiences.

Teacher Training

A placement is your chance to put what you’ve learnt into action. We asked students who had completed a placement what they had learnt and what advice they'd give to future students.

What to wear on placement

If you are training to be a teacher or have a placement working with children or young people, you will be expected to wear smart dress. We've put together some rules on what not to wear, as well as some bonus top tips for your placement.
