Six places that make Digbeth the coolest area in the UK

Just a short walk along the canal from our City Centre Campus is Digbeth. Commonly known as Birmingham's creative quarter, every inch of wall is covered with amazing street art, there are heaps of independent bars and shops, as well as more activity bars than you can shake a stick at. Here's our list of the best things to do in Digbeth.

1. The Night Owl

Looking for a hit of nostalgia and weekly live music? The Night Owl, one of the finest soul and retro bars in Birmingham, has you covered. Expect Motown, ska, funk, disco, garage, psychedelia, rock and roll, Britpop, indie, punk and more for some serious grooves.

2. The Custard Factory

A collection of independent shops, creative and digital businesses plus event spaces, there’s always something happening.

3. The Mockingbird Cinema 

A brilliant independent cinema in the Custard Factory, Mockingbird shows both new releases and classic films. They also put on special events, this is the best cinema in Birmingham if you're a film lover. 

4. Cow Vintage

A huge warehouse full of vintage clothing at affordable prices.

5. Golf Fang

Crazy golf in crazy settings with crazy good cocktails and food. It's something you need to try for yourself.

With over 50 independent artists, designers and sellers under one roof, you'll be supporting local businesses in this treasure trove of unique shops.
