1. Asha’s

Owned by Bollywood superstar playback singer Asha Bhosle, the popular location boasts a menu full of exotic flavours which are sure to excite your taste buds. The team of all-female chefs at the Indian Streatery serve up authentic Indian dishes with a street food vibe, think everything from traditional curries to Indian style tapas. They've also been given the Royal seal of approval by none other than the Prince and Princess of Wales! Head to their place on Bennetts Hill for a chilled evening meal or check out their grab and go menu for a quick yet very tasty lunch option.

If you like your curry to come with a Michelin star then Opheem is the place for you. Birmingham Chef Aktar Islam pushes the boundaries with Indian flavours, creating an experience you won’t forget anytime soon.

6. Tamatanga

For something fresh and vibrant head to Tamatanga on Navigation Street. They’re pretty laid back so there’s no need to book, although we recommend turning up before 7pm for their 2 for 1 cocktails every day!

7. The Covered Wagon

It’s worth the trip out of the City Centre to Moseley for a feast at The Covered Wagon. This multi award winning pub serves gourmet Indian food alongside draught beer and other drinks, available for delivery too!

8. Dishoom

Paying homage to Bombay’s Swadeshi Market, Dishoom Birmingham oozes culture and tradition and plenty of tasty dishes to choose from. Plus, there’s no need to wait until dinner, why not start your day with an Indian breakfast or light lunch?
