Curzon building

The Curzon Building is at the heart of our City Centre Campus. It's home to our Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences and features modern facilities including our psychology labs, mock court room and City trading room.

Crown court

One of our two mock courtrooms, our Crown Court is used to simulate a real courtroom feel. It is used as much as possible to ensure you are comfortable talking in front of a jury and a judge when you graduate.

The Hive

Curzon B boasts an innovative lecture theatre called The Hive that features raked, group activity seating, integrated technology and excellent sight lines.

MAGISTRATES' COURT

Our other mock courtroom, the magistrates' court is also used in lessons, as well as playing host to our mooting and debating societies. Our mooting society is one of the most successful in the country.

Curzon b

Alongside our £60 million Curzon Building, our six storey extension, Curzon B, can house over 3,000 students and staff. The space gives you more study and recreation spaces.

City trading room

Students on our Finance and Economics courses have the opportunity to work in our City Trading Room using the same investment analysis software as traders, financial analysts and decision makers in the investment industry.

Psychology Labs

Our psychology labs feature all of the latest equipment, including an EEG scanner and eye tracking equipment, and state-of-the-art software such as E-Prime, SPSS, Pinnacle Studio and NVIVO

Link Marketing Agency

We have our own student-run, in-house marketing agency, The Link, where you can sharpen your skills with briefs and projects from leading businesses and organisations, such as Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Serco and Cure Leukaemia.

City Centre Library

The biggest library at the University, the City Centre Library not only houses textbooks and media items for Business, Law and Social Sciences subjects, but also everything from Art and Media to Engineering and Architecture.

Collectively, our libraries provide access to around 62 million resources including books, online journals and e-book chapters.

food and drink

Curzon cafe

Our main dining facility, the Curzon Cafeteria was a wide variety of breakfast and dinner choices, including vegetarian and vegan options. It is surrounded by a large seating area if you need a bit of a break from your studies.

Starbucks

We have two Starbucks coffee pods in Curzon, with one situated on the third floor, and another on the first floor of Curzon B. So you're never too far away from a latte!

Campus Shop

If it's just a chocolate bar or bag of sweets you're after, the Campus Shop is located right next to the front doors. It is loaded with a massive selection of crisps, drinks and fruit to suit any taste.

students' union

BCUSU is behind some of the biggest events at the University, such as the Big Welcome and Graduation Ball. It also offers over 100 sports teams, societies and media groups for you to get involved in. Whatever your interests, they’ve got you covered!

The Eagle and Ball pub is run by our Students' Union, and can be accessed from both the ground floor and first floor near the Curzon Cafeteria. It had quite a history even before Birmingham City University rejuvenated it.
