Fashion Design studios
Fashion Design students have access to sewing machines and other state-of-the-art equipment to be able to bring designs to life.
Fashion Business and Promotion classrooms
There are several working spaces for lectures and seminars where you'll feel a sense of community and be able to have peer discussion time. We also have active computer workshop rooms for developing skills in Adobe software.
Photography studio
Parkside is home to professional grade photography studios, with photography technicians who support students across the studios, processing room and analogue darkroom, along with providing workshops and training where needed.
Studio B
This space boasts one of the largest fixed green screens in the UK. Students can book Studio B to use for editorials, filming, photography and anything else creative that comes to mind. As well as this, BCU has an extensive Hires and Loans library, in which students can book out professional camera equipment to use for their projects.
Weaving workshop
The textiles weaving workshop includes a variety of hand, AVL and jacquard looms (pictured), as well as a rug gun, domestic and industrial knit machines.
Embroidery workshop
The textiles embroidery workshop features our state-of-the-art ColourReel machine (pictured left), of which we are the first university in the country and second in the world to own. The workshop also includes a juki, tambour hand-stitch and an embellisher.
Print workshop
The print workshop features facilities for screen printing, dye sublimation and heat press, a dye room, digital printing equipment and biomaterials.
