BA (Hons) Fashion Design
Our BA (Hons) Fashion Design degree course will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the fashion industry and have the chance to take part in exciting work placements, with companies such as Ted Baker, Mary Katrantzou, Paul Smith, Topshop and River Island.
Graduates from our course progress to gain jobs within many of the major high end and high street companies, both within the UK and overseas. You’ll find Birmingham City University alumni working in Adidas, Marks & Spencer, Erdem and Victoria Beckham.
With this degree you could become a Stylist, Textile Designer, Fashion Designer, Fashion Product Manager, Pattern Cutter/Grader, Fashion Illustrator, Costume Designer or Fashion Lecturer.
BA (Hons) Fashion Business and Promotion
Guided and supported by a knowledgeable, industry-experienced staff team, you will gain an education across the different fashion sectors and develop skills in order to undertake a number of industry roles, including Buying, Marketing and PR, Trends forecasting and Event Management.
Many of our students go on to become buyers or PR assistants, finding opportunities with brands such as Next, Office, Paul Smith, Store 21, Karen Millen and ASOS.
With this degree you could become a Retail Manager, Retail Buyer, Fashion Journalist, Fashion Blogger/Vlogger, Fashion Advertiser or E-Commerce Manager.
BA (Hons) Fashion Branding and Communication
This course's unique mix of both fashion communication and branding will give you the skills you will need to be a creative, confident, well-informed fashion communicator, ready for the industry.
With this degree you could become a Visual Merchandiser, Retail Merchandiser, Fashion Journalist, Fashion Marketing or PR Specialist.

BA (Hons) Textile Design
Our BA (Hons) Textile Design degree is designed to ensure you have the skills, vision and creativity to appeal to a range of employers.
With strong understanding and skills in traditional and digital design, you will become adept at a number of textile processes, including print, embroidery, weave and knit. You’ll also gain a clear vision of where you fit in the industry in order to build a strong personal and professional portfolio, using promotional and marketing skills you’ll be prepared to take to future job roles.
