Joanne Forman is an accomplished nursing professional with over two decades of experience in paediatric nursing, burns and plastics, clinical education, and higher education. As a Senior Lecturer and Course Lead for the FdSc Nursing Associate programme, Joanne plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing by delivering high-quality education and ensuring an enriching student experience.
Joanne's academic journey is marked by a solid foundation in child nursing, complemented by a specialised BSc in Burns and Plastics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education. Currently, she is further enhancing her expertise by pursuing an MA in Education, demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in teaching.
Since transitioning to higher education in 2019, Joanne has rapidly advanced to a leadership position, reflecting her abilities as an educator. Her teaching philosophy focuses on the delivery of engaging, evidence-based instruction tailored to the needs of a diverse student body.
As a nurse and educator, her mission is to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to excel in their careers. Her extensive clinical and educational background allows her to bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring that students are well-prepared to meet the challenges of modern healthcare. She is passionate about fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential
