Our partnerships with many leading professional sports clubs provide fantastic opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience working with professional athletes during their time at university.

Edgbaston Priory Club
Sport and Exercise Nutrition students showcased their knowledge and evidence-based practice in a series of seminars. These were designed to provide members of the Edgbaston Priory Club with a greater understanding of how to lead and maintain healthy lifestyles, and the links between nutrition and exercise. The seminars covered topics such as fuelling and recovery, optimising immunity, body composition and hydration.
Kidderminster Harriers Pre-Season Session
The Kidderminster Harriers Football Club (KHFC) first team visited City South Campus for some pre-season training. This pre-season session was designed to support the team’s preparation for the upcoming season and included a variety of activities - V02 max testing, a nutrition and cooking workshop, a sports therapy session, and fitness testing.
Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club
"I worked alongside Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club 1st Team Ladies who are in the National League Conference Division. Each week we received footage of the entire match which we analysed using performance analysis software. This allowed the coach to feedback to the team for the following game to improve. This was a great opportunity for me to translate theory into practice."

Solihull Moors FC
"I worked as a performance analysis intern at Solihull Moors FC assisting the full-time analyst with pre-match opposition reports, penalty reports and analysis for the goalkeepers and goalkeeper coach. Through my time at Solihull I gained a better understanding of what happens on a day to day basis from a performance analyst's perspective and had a chance to apply my skills to real-life situations."

"Working with Luton Town FC was a great opportunity to get some hands-on experience of what the future could hold post-university. I worked on putting together an informative presentation on micronutrients and nutritional strategies for the players. The athletes benefited from the session and were able to implement the strategies throughout the season."

"Working with COB swimming club for 18 months has hugely developed my understanding of what makes a good coach.
