At Birmingham City University we do everything possible to make you feel welcome and to make the most of your time with us, both academically and socially.

We know the thought of travelling to another country on your own can be scary, but once you're here you’ll find it’s easy to meet and make friends, and work alongside other international and UK students. You’ll receive a friendly welcome from our Meet and Greet team as you arrive in the UK, and free transport to your accommodation on arrival.

Take advantage of the city’s great choice of food, museums, parks and nightlife, or go on a day trip with new friends to different parts of the UK. There’s plenty on offer, whatever your interests.

Your studies

• You’ll receive results of assessments within no more than 20 working days, extensive support through our online learning systems, and full access to our Students' Union and Student Services.
• You’ll also have many opportunities to learn from Birmingham’s wider creative and business communities in a city which has the UK's largest concentration of businesses outside of London.
