When you visit us on the Applicant Taster Day, you will be introduced to our facilities in the School of Engineering and the Built Environment, and take part in taster sessions to get a feel for what it's like to study here. This year, we have updated our engineering facilities, and look forward to the opportunity to demonstrate our exciting new labs.

Activities will include:

• Visit the workshop which will include a detailed overview of the Formula Student Car and iRacer
• Introduction to CAD labs
• Visit to the mechanical engineering lab
• Visit to the electronics lab

• Ansys – finite element analysis
• COMSOL Multi physics – finite element analysis
• CATIA -  3D Computer aided design
• Power Mill – 3D Computer aided design and manufacture
• DFMA – design for assembly
• MSC Adams – Multibody simulation
• Ricardo Wave – engine simulation
• CES Edu Pack – Material selection software
• Visit the KBE – knowledge based engineering lab

Our Engineering Applicant Taster Days do not include an interview requirement.
