Fees and finance for continuing students in the faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences

Fees for continuing students 2024/25

The following provides full-time fee information for students continuing their studies in the 2024/25 academic year.

Home students: undergraduate courses

Normally the tuition fees for undergraduate students remain at the same level throughout the duration of the programme other than to reflect changes in government funding policies or changes agreed by Parliament. Other circumstances where your tuition fee is likely to change include where you change your mode of study (e.g. from part-time to full-time), take an Interruption of Studies or a waiver, refund or bursary is applied in which case you will have been informed of the different fee that is payable.

Home students: postgraduate taught courses

The University reserves the right to increase fees for subsequent years of study in line with increases in inflation (capped at 5%) or to reflect changes in Government funding policies or changes agreed by Parliament.

For 2024/25, the University agreed an increase of 5% to non-regulated fees, rounded up to the nearest £5, which means that courses in the following bands for 2023/24 will be charged at the following amounts in this academic year (2024/25):

Part-time fees

If you are studying part-time, the fee charged will be pro-rated from the full-time fee (rounded to the nearest £1) and based on the number of credits studied in each year. For example:

  • If you are studying an undergraduate course, a typical full-time load would be 120 credits per year. If you are studying part-time and are studying 60 credits, you will pay 50% of the full-time fee
  • If you are studying a postgraduate course, a typical full-time load would typically be 180 credits per year. If you are studying part-time and are studying 100 credits, you will pay in proportion to this (~55% of the full-time fee).
