Procurement Strategy and Ethical Procurement
The University has in place a 3 year Procurement Strategy which sets out the long-term objectives of its procurement approach across a wide category base. The Procurement Strategy is a statement of the strategic intent of the Head of Procurement for the period 2017-2020 and supports the University Strategic Plan 2020.
The University also recognises the importance of sustainability in its procurements and has in place a series of policies on sustainable procurement, Fairtrade and modern slavery. To find out more please see our sustainable and ethical procurement page.
The University actively promotes and encourages sustainable practices across its supply chain. Suppliers are expected to support the University in its commitment to carry out its activities in an ethical and socially responsible way.
