Publication Scheme

A publication scheme is a document setting down, in a clear and structured way, the different types of information about the University that are already in the public domain.  Information is classified by type to make it easier for people outside the University to find.  Birmingham City University Publication Scheme has been designed having regard to the Information Commissioner’s Model Publication Scheme for Universities.

Our Guide details the classes of information that Birmingham City University makes available to the public in accordance with the model scheme and, wherever possible, provides a method of accessing this information.

As set out in the Information Commissioner’s Office guidance, the following categories of information are available:

  1. Who we are and what we do
  2. What we spend and how we spend it
  3. What our priorities are and how we are doing
  4. How we make decisions
  5. Our policies and procedures
  6. Lists and registers
  7. The services we offer

Please note that the information referenced in this Guide is not intended to be a definitive list of all information Birmingham City University publishes. More information can be found by using the searching or browsing functions at https://www.bcu.ac.uk/

Any enquiries or requests relating to the Publication Scheme should be sent to: informationmanagement@bcu.ac.uk.
